Sledding!
OHHH, how I love the snow and with round one done, we thought we better head outside and enjoy the decent temps and a fresh coating of the fluffy new snow! Logan was excited to get outside (we were excited for him) and Landon wasn't so sure what to think. He just wanted to sit in his little sled and spin around! We made it out in the chilly weather for about 30 minutes, then came in and had some hot chocolate and cookies! Sure wish we had a big hill close to sled down, but am sure we'll venture to the neighborhood park and sled some more! Logan is excited to get this snow so he can get his snowboard out! He starts snowboard/ski club in January, so he's very ready to get started!

Belly Laughs!
Today we decided to not head to my parent's place for the holidays due to the winter storm headed our way. While we are VERY disappointed to not be spending the holiday as planned, we are really lucky that most of Jesse's family is here, so we'll get to see both Gabler and Osendorf families after all! I guess it's a win-win for us in that we spend the holiday with more family in the end and get to drag Christmas out until the middle of January when we plan to take a long weekend and spend time with my parents! That said, I was pretty sad about missing out this year, but with belly laughs like this, who wouldn't cheer up! My boys are the sweetest site to see. Logan just glows knowing that he's looked up to and this little brother of his is so smitten and thinks the world of him! Who knew that sliding on a wood floor could bring such happiness to others! HA!

Bombs away!
We finished up swimming lessons on Monday for both boys and are thankful to be done, just in time for the hustle and bustle of the year-end festivities! Logan really seems to enjoy the lessons, but not sure it's because he's swimming or if it's because the teacher is a cutie! Here is a quick video at his last session and taking advantage of showing off a little!

Family Christmas!
Today we decided to celebrate our family Christmas with all the running around and travel to come during the week! I made a bunch of cookies, cooked a nice dinner and then it was present time! Poor Logan had to wait ALL day to even shake the presents, then came time to separate them out and it was a total whirlwind of paper and heaps of gifts! We went a little overboard this year as I was crazy and ventured out on Black Friday at 4 a.m. and got some of the best deals for the kids!
Let the opening begin! While this is technically Landon's 2nd Christmas, last year doesn't count as he was 8 weeks old! This year, we knew we had memories in store and couldn't wait! Logan was really patient as Landon figured out how to get the paper off, then eat some, then realize there was a toy in the box, then spaz out because he was so excited! Below, Landon is opening up the ball popper, which buddy Brody had at his house while we were there for dinner! TROUBLE...he gets nuts and dances all around forgetting that if he lets go, down he falls!
Landon loves to play Peek-a-boo, so Jesse found a big board book with flaps that open and Landon just 'read and read' that book!
This is Logan's favorite team and now favorite jersey - #28, Chris Johnson for the Titans! He had no idea we picked it up and below modeled his 'thicker' neck pose! Oh boy!

Landon taking more time to read his big board book...yeah, books!

We gave this same gift to Brody and Landon took to it the same...only pushes the buttons vs. racing the cars to the finish! If Landon is anything like Logan with cars, we're getting a good base started! The Tonka Chuck series is his favorite right now as the trucks are softer and fit perfectly in his little hands!

Um, yes, mama even got a little something silver to match the holiday decor! Totally wanted the 'J', but didn't expect it! It's always an easy buy for me...pick something there and I'm set! Jesse disguised it in a tissue box, so I wouldn't know and I LOVE it! Thanks Fox!

While Tiffany blue isn't Jesse's deal, Philips Norelco is! I figured I pay $150 to get my hair done, so why not get him the posh Arcitec razor...priceless! He was soooo excited to get that baby charged and put it to the test!

We gave Logan a little remote control car just because it was small enough for our space and thought it would be fun! Well, Jesse decided to see if Lulu liked it as much as he did and chased her around the house! (Excuse my snort of laughter!)

While gifts are great, we are so thankful for all the blessings we've had the last year and reflect on good family and friends both near and far! To all of you in our lives, Season's Greetings, warmth and good cheer; from our home to yours, Happy New Year!

Daycare fun!
Cindy was sweet enough to have the kids decorate sugar cookies to celebrate the holidays! Between all the coughs, colds, runny noses and a million other germs, she 'helped' decorate the cookies and sent some home with us! MMMM, she must have known frosted sugar cookies are my favorite; uh, er, I mean will be great to share with the boys! Needless to say, I ate more than my share, but at least I shared! :) Thanks Cindy!

Snow Day!
We finally were hit with Mother Nature on Wednesday and Logan's school was closed, so I decided to get crafty and take advantage of having my boys home for the day! We got up, enjoyed a big breakfast together and then decided to capture a moment in time with our Hand Reindeer! I always look back on Logan's crafts from his years in Montessori and wish I had captured more of Landon's pictures, first drawings, etc., so why not start now! We had fun and enjoyed doing something together since it was pretty chilly out and blustery winds made the time outside limited! We had 'snack trays' for lunch and at Logan's wishes, we had hot chocolate to boot! While I enjoyed my time at home with the boys, I was happy to see them back in a routine today!
We traced the hands, then added eyes, a red nose and some jewels on the antlers!
I made a snowman instead of a reindeer!
Landon loves to read and anything goes; even the JLM Newsletter!
Just had to capture my sweet boy - even if he was zoning out and eating lunch!

Fall Photo Session
I love pictures and our family photographer, Paula Charchenko, was kind enough to run a mini-session day a few weeks back! She came prepared with homemade monster cookies, beverages and a perfect mix of cool temps and sunshine to complete the day! We just had Landon's one year pictures taken, so we took a few extra of Logan and then focused on family pictures. Paula always seems to capture the perfect moments. Just when I anticipate no photos turning out, she comes right back with a handful of pictures that we'll treasure forever! Thanks Paula!
